Helping Your Relationship Heal.

Just like you wouldn't expect your general medical practitioner to perform open heart surgery, you also shouldn't expect a general multi-service therapist to diagnose a complex, deeply rooted, and consequential crisis in your relationship.

Pathway Therapy provides a highly specialized form of couples therapy, through our procured counseling approach and intensive programs, that is found only in a handful of practitioners in Northern California.

SERVICES

Individual Therapy

Has your addictive behavior gotten out of control?  Are struggling with pornography use or compulsive sexual behaviors?  Is your life in crisis due to the impact of such behaviors?

All of our therapists are trained in using specialized tools and resources to begin healing yourself and your relationships.  We often begin with an assessment to determine how far addictive issues may have escalated and work to determine the right level of support for each client to effectively address their concerns.

A good relationship with a therapist trained specially in this area becomes the cornerstone for ongoing work.  While facing challenges such as these can be an uncomfortable and painful process, there is often great relief in breaking out of destructive patterns.  To make an appointment with one of our therapists please reach out to us today.

Happy Couple

“I came to Pathway at the lowest point of my life and through their knowledge and compassion they've brought me out of the dark and into the light. I may have finished the outpatient intensive program, but I still get the benefit of their help as well as my peers in our weekly group meeting.”
- J. A.

How Can You Get Started?

Our process is as follows:

1. Intake Call

During the intake call, we will briefly go over the challenges that are currently facing you or your relationship. Whether it is infidelity, betrayal, a compulsive sexual behavior, or past trauma we will prepare an in-person assessment session based around the present challenges in your relationship.

2. In-Person Assessment Session(s)

Is individual or group therapy going to be the best route?  Should you consider an intensive? Can your partner get help to stabilize and save your relationship? What is the recovery process going to look like?

We will begin uncovering current challenges that are holding you (and/or your partner) back in your relationship. Simultaneously, we will be assessing the best way to begin your recovery journey that is tailored around your specific relationship dynamics, history, and obstacles.

3. Begin Your Journey To Recovery

Following your in-person assessment sessions, we will generate a roadmap to recovery that is specific to the challenges present in your relationship. Whether it is through an intensive program or one of our counseling services, you will have a clear understanding of what the recovery process will look like, what you should expect, and the changes that will need to take place.

You don’t have weeks or months to talk about things because your relationship is falling apart every minute of every day.

You need something that works NOW.

Counselors often times:

  • Work on the marriage before the infidelity

  • Do not understand marriage trauma (and it's coping mechanisms)

  • Give advice on betrayal, infidelity, and trauma without understanding both sides

Your relationship cannot afford to spend weeks or months dealing with one of these...while your relationship is falling apart.

Our In-Person Assessment Sessions will address any immediate challenges that need to be dealt with before your relationship can move forward in the recovery process.
