Eric Anderson, LMFT, CSAT
M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy
Eric Anderson LMFT CSAT-S is the founder and clinical director at Pathway Therapy Center. He graduated in 2012 with his Masters In Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary’s school of psychology and began working in the field of addiction treatment as a primary therapist in a residential chemical dependency treatment center in Southern California.
He then began working at Novus Mindful Life Institute under the direction and supervision of Duane Osterlind LMFT CSAT-S and William Feuerborn LMFT CSAT-S. During that time he completed his certification as a certified sex addiction therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) under the guidance of Patrick Carnes PhD. Upon getting licensed in 2015 he began a private practice and joined Banyan Therapy Group under Dan Drake LMFT CSAT-S CPPT as their intensives director, focusing on building and facilitating their intensive outpatient program (IOP) and organizing and running their intensives. During his time there he also co-authored the workbook Rebuilding your Foundation alongside Dan Drake.Throughout his training Eric found a passion for helping individuals and couples heal from addictive patterns and find healing and renewal. He has learned much about the importance of supportive care for all members of the family system involved and hopes through Pathway to bring a high level of expertise and clinical care to the delicate process of recovery from sex addiction. He facilitates 4 ongoing men’s addiction process groups and enjoys helping men build strength, resilience, and community around an issue that has driven many into shame and isolation.

Deanna Renee Swanson

Renee Swanson is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Pathway Therapy Center with a passion for psychology, interpersonal relationships, and understanding how people think, feel, and behave. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
Renee's previous experience includes working with clients at an inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation center, where she addressed mental health issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, in addition to substance abuse and addiction. Renee also has experience working as a Certified Nutrition Consultant and owning a small retail business. Currently, Renee works with individuals, couples, and partners as they navigate the effects of sex and pornography addiction. She believes that each client is unique and should have a tailored therapeutic experience to meet their specific needs and goals. Renee works in an integrative manner, utilizing tools from different types of therapy including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, relational, and acceptance and commitment. Renee's philosophy is to collaborate with the client and provide respect, non-judgmental support, and empathy as they determine their next steps in life. Drea Garrett LMFT LPCC

Drea Garrett is an LMFT/LPCC at Pathway Therapy Center, and also works as an outreach clinician with the unhoused population in San Jose. Drea completed her Undergraduate Degree at UC Berkeley, and her master’s in counseling at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. Recently, she completed her associate hours and is preparing to test for licensure.
Drea is a Bay Area native, born and raised in the East Bay, and takes great pride in being able to give back to her community through her professional work. She has a very down to earth style and approaches treatment collaboratively. The therapy she provides is individualized to each client’s specific needs to best support their growth and healing. Drea has over 13 years of experience in crisis response, outreach, and trauma work, where she began as a volunteer supporting survivors of domestic violence and their children. In more recent years she has worked in the field of community mental health and addiction. She also has experience in forensic treatment working with individual’s addressing legal ramifications of their sexually compulsive behaviors and porn addictions. Katy Cook is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Pathway Therapy Center working with adults, couples, adolescents, and kids. She graduated in 2009 from Pacifica Graduate institute with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and in 2015 with a PhD in Clinical, Educational & Health Psychology.
Katy has over a decade of experience in the mental health field and specializes in depth psychology; she loves working in a psychodynamic manner that allows her to help her clients explore underlying issues, motivation, thoughts, and behaviors. Katy has a particular affinity for helping others navigate life transitions, recognize patterns, nurture resiliency, and find healthy ways of coping with life’s challenges, all in a warm and supportive space.

Derek Andrucko is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a strong desire to serve couples who are dealing with betrayal in their marriage, especially related to sexual addiction. He holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology at California Baptist University.
Derek’s previous experience includes working with couples and families uncovering the underlying emotional needs of family members and how families get stuck in relational patterns that they find impossible to escape. Currently, Derek works with married couples and individuals as they navigate the effects of mistrust, especially mistrust relating to sexual betrayal. He believes that serving the family unit, and serving all of its members, is of utmost importance and has dedicated his work towards this. Mark is a product of the East Bay and raised his five young adult children in Walnut Creek. He is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) at Pathway Therapy working with adults, couples and adolescents. He received his undergraduate degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Psychology from California Southern University.
His broad background includes working at a major psychiatric hospital, practicing in a faith-based counseling center, working teens in high schools and serving in ministry positions. Prior to transitioning to a second career as a therapist, Mark spent 20 years working in marketing communications for eminent organizations.
Mark invests in building trusted relationships with his clients and establishing a space where they can be seen, heard and understood. He leverages evidenced-based modalities in therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to repair faulty thoughts/beliefs, attachment theory to resolve childhood wounds, Jungian psychology to explore personality and the role of the unconscious, existential therapy which incorporates the drive to find meaning and a strengths-based approach that helps clients see the inner resources they have within to solve complex problems. He is also trained in men’s issues with an understanding of the psychological and spiritual markers associated with healthy male development and helping men find healing and wholeness as related to addiction, betrayal, childhood wounding and vocation-related issues.
Mark brings strong theological acumen and training into the therapeutic process for those who wish to incorporate a faith-based perspective, including Biblical concepts such as forgiveness, eternity, human brokenness, justice, redemption, morality, community, worship and spiritual practices.

Eric Ford is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Pathway Therapy Center working with individuals, couples, and families. He earned his MA in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Seminary and his BA in Psychology with a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University.
Eric integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a warm, supportive therapeutic environment. There is space in session for unpacking trauma and addiction, with a collaborative focus on producing hope. He specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, sexual addiction, faith-based concerns, and life transitions. His previous experience includes dedicated work with teens, young adults, military personnel, ministry staff members, and special needs individuals and families. The thing he loves most about therapy is seeing his clients making insightful connections about their lives, producing behavioral change.
With a compassionate and holistic approach, Eric is dedicated to helping clients develop greater self-awareness on their journey toward healing, growth and recovery. In his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, podcasts, music and reading. He is currently accepting new clients and would welcome a brief consultation call."

Lindsey Smedley AMFT

Lindsey Smedley is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Pathway working with adults, couples, families, and adolescents. She graduated from California Baptist University with an M.S. in Counseling Psychology specializing in marriage and family therapy.
Rooted in creating a warm therapeutic bond, Lindsey walks alongside her clients, meeting them where they are at as the client journeys toward their goals. Whether there is relational pain, anxiety, depression, addiction, shame, or other presenting concerns, Lindsey believes that individuals possess the ability to overcome the hurts and hang-ups in their lives, and the therapeutic relationship is a catalyst to reinforce and expedite that process. Her previous work includes supporting betrayed partners, assisting clients in life transitions, adolescent care integrated with family systems dynamics, and treating clients with past trauma. Lindsey implements multiple therapeutic modalities into her work to tailor a care plan to suit each individual client, couple, and family.

Paul Calloway LCSW CSAT
Paul Calloway is a Bay Area Native, born and raised in San Francisco and now a proud East Bay resident. He has been a practicing therapist for over six years serving adults, adolescents, and couples as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Paul graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from California State University, East Bay and a Bachelors of Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
Paul has extensive experience providing psychotherapy and case management to clientele with issues ranging from substance abuse and severe mental health disorders to providing ongoing therapeutic sessions to clients dealing with depression, anxiety, and coping with everyday life. Paul has worked with diverse populations including San Francisco veterans, unhoused populations in Alameda county and BIPOC clientele in the greater East Bay area.
Over the years, Paul has developed a passion for serving clients battling and affected by sex addiction issues. His therapeutic approach will help clients to identify and stop addictive patterns that are extremely disruptive to their life while simultaneously addressing the root cause(s) and repairing damaged relationships. His interventions are tailored to meet the specific needs of each of his clients. Paul is also EMDR trained to help clients re-process and heal from traumatic events that often contribute to addictive behaviors.
